Wedding SZN has come to an end
Last night was the last wedding of my 2024 season! WHAT A RELIEF! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved every one of the couples, vendors, and venues I got to meet and witness along the way. I am still a college student though, so the fall season has me booked up and working hard.
What did my 2024 season look like?
I worked my first content creation wedding in May and fell so deeply in love with it. Anea and Luke have my heart (and a permanent spot on my home page). I also finished my first year of college in May, which was such an accomplishment since I didn’t want to continue my education after high school (I am so glad I did though:)
June was a busy month filled with new experiences and lots of travels, friends, and laughter! I spent a few days up in Hancock, Maine with my best friend. We went hiking, grocery shopping, and ate amazing food. I just felt so ‘off-the-grid’ and made up my mind that I needed to do it more often. I also worked a solo (coordination) wedding in Winthrop, Maine. This wedding taught me how to overcome mental ‘speedbumps’. I’m so thankful for this experience and this wedding because it helped push me out of my comfort zone and I realized that I am capable of so much more than I think.
July was FAMILY SZN!!! I spent so much time with my family and friends and made so many new friends. I worked a wedding or two in July, but my family was my number one priority that month.
In August, I said goodbye to Sophia, my cousin and best friend, because she left for college. We quickly realized that the distance only made us closer, which is such a blessing. I had another content wedding in August for Leanna & Wesley! I fell in love with their love and their amazing family. They had an island wedding and I got to ride a little boat with them to capture content before the ceremony:)
DO YOU REMEMBER THE 21st NIGHT OF SEPTEMBER!!!! Just kidding:) September was such a fun month! I did content creation for Avery & Jack and quickly became obsessed with them! I mean, I even named a package after them:) Avery and Jack were just so lovely and such a funny couple. They had some photos on the beach, and their ceremony right on the Maine Coast. Their reception was in a music hall and MY GOODNESS was it stunning! I learned a lot that month and won’t forget my lovely couples from September 2024!!
October will always be my favorite month because it’s my birthday month:) This month was jam-packed with school, wedding stuff, and events. My Events Management class planned and executed a Halloween Dinner in 5 weeks. We worked so hard, and since there were 18 of us having to work together to plan it all out, it was definitely a challenge. I helped coordinate my friend’s little brother’s wedding which was stunning. I traveled up to Bar Harbor and back to Portland in one day for a wedding. 6 hours of driving and I never wanted to step foot in a car ever again.
And now November. It’s only November 10th, but it has felt like a whole month already. My Dark Tourism class had an overnight in Fall River Massachusettes for our tours of the Lizzy Borden House. I learned that I am not really a fan of tourism that focuses on historical sights of death and tragedy, but it was a good trip and I learned a lot. I just worked my last wedding of the season last night and I feel very accomplished. I’ve created a whole business during this 2024 wedding season. I spent hours capturing content, piecing it together, contacting brides and grooms, client calls, marketing my company, and much more. This website is definitely something I never thought I would be capable of creating, but here we are!
Thank you all for your support, trust me it doesn’t go unnoticed. I am so appreciative of each and every one of you! <3
